During a Reiki Session, most people experience an overflowing sense of
peace and settle into a beautiful state of very deep relaxation,
sometimes falling asleep. Most people feel warmth from my hands and
lovely energetic sensations in various parts of the body -- not
necessarily where my hands are. It is not strange to have energetic
releases such as laughing or becoming teary eyed for apparently no
reason at some point during a session. This is a wonderful indication
that an emotional release is happening that will benefit your body,
mind, and spirit in a long term way.
When you arrive, we will
take a few minutes for some brief paperwork and talk about your current
health and any areas of sensitivity in your body, and I will answer any
questions you have. It is a good idea to wear loose comfortable
clothes, as Reiki is administered by gentle touch with clothing on. I
will help you lay down and be sure you are comfortable, and then we
begin with a guided meditation that will aid you in bringing awareness
to your entire body. During the session, I will lay my hand on you in
various positions. If you are interested in a an extra special experience, please ask me in advance (at time of scheduling) about a Musical Reiki Session.**
At the end of the session, I wake you gently and
give you 5 minutes or so to come back to your body. At this time, we
can talk about your experiences, or you may choose to leave quietly as
you continue to savor the beautiful embrace of your experience.
Before and after your session, it is a good idea to drink lots of
water. Much like a massage, toxins will be released, and this is an
opportunity to flush them from your body. If
possible, plan to take it easy for the rest of the day after your
session as you allow the relaxing benefits to continue reaching deeper.
**During a Musical Reiki Session,
I will sing to you and possibly play other musical instruments; the pieces that I sing to you, the order of the songs, and the keys
that I sing each song in are very important, and have all been carefully
chosen and orchestrated with the intention to restore balance to your
chakras, and more. The musical vibrations of the voice / instruments
work in harmony with the Reiki to relax and revitalize your body, mind,
and spirit. An extra fee may apply.**
